A senior mathematician, computer scientist, and software/ systems engineer for the US Department of Defense where she has worked for over 25 years in both military and civilian capacities. She is currently researching software safety and resilience in manned and unmanned aircraft systems at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. She is also a systems, software, and safety engineer for Icarus Interstellar where she designs spacecraft and integrates safety and resilience into spacecraft systems. Her focus is on long range spacecraft and the effects of long term stress on spacecraft systems.

She holds the following degrees: MS Computer Information Systems, MS Computer Science, MS Systems Engineering, MA National Security and Strategic Studies, MAS Aeronautics & Aerospace Safety Systems, MBA, JD, and PhD candidate in Software Engineering.
