Dr. Michelle Liang is experienced in both research and teaching. She strives to help students develop both a breadth of general knowledge and soft skills, and a depth of technical expertise.
She has been a postdoctoral researcher at ITU for the last three years. Her recent research interests focus on business-driven trustworthy technologies, such as IoT, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, E-commerce, and Cyber Security.
Before joining ITU, she accumulated nine years of teaching experience from Fudan University and Harbin Institute of Technology. She has four years of industry experience in telecommunication networking and banking in the United States and China.
Dr. Liang received her PhD. in Computer Science from Fudan University, China and MS. in Computer Engineering from University of Minnesota, US.
Professor Mamoun Samaha’s career has spanned business and software. Having received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, Professor Mamoun went on to become Chief Architect of Hewlett Packard, working for the tech giant for 13 years. He then served as Chief Technical Officer of Motorola-Google, before co-founding his own cloud-based tech company, MobiWee Inc. He teaches on Consumerization of IT, Mobility, IoT, and Web Security Fundamentals at ITU.
