Mamoun Samaha
Director Institute of Cybersecurity

With today’s society completely reliant on computers and smart devices, there’s increasing demand for developers with ethical hacking experience. Professor Samaha is a CTO evangelist in mobility, wireless chief of technologies and solutions architect known for leading key advancement in enterprise technologies.

He brings over 23 years of industry experience and leadership to ITU and currently serves as the Director for the Cyber Security Institute. Under his leadership, ITU obtain accreditation and established the EC – Council Center of Excellence here at the university. Prior to his work at ITU, he served as CTO Mobility and Wireless at Hewlett Packard, Co-Founder and CEO of MobiWee Inc., and Enterprise CTO for Motorola Mobility

Professor Samaha is currently a PhD candidate at ITU in Electrical & Computer Engineering, a Masters in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands, and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and Communication Engineering from the University of Jordan.

My goal is to educate future developers of the importance of ethical hacking and keeping my students abreast of industry trends and technology on developing secure systems and networks. I also want to emphasize the importance of certification and attending RSA conferences to expose students to the growing demands of developers with ethical hacking experience.
